You might feel better about your Plants vs. Zombies habit if I tell you two things about the game.
First, it made Games Magazine's annual list of top games of the year last year. Games Magazine knows what it's talking about.
Second, when I checked the annual best games list for ideas of what to buy for my game loving sons, one a know-it-all 18 year old and the other a smarter than anyone else in the world 27 year old, I chose Plants vs. Zombies for both of them and they both loved it. These guys have all kinds of game playing platforms at their fingertips and at first they kind of sneered at old mom's quaint (read clueless there) choice, but both of them got hooked by those zombies and those plants.

Great podcast and I say that knowing as much about podcasts as those fellas know about games.

Thanks for the great episode. I, too, love Vintage Baby Knits. So glad you're podcasting post-baby.

Hello!

I am a new listener and enjoy the show! Thanks for podcasting.

I love Plants vs. Zombies! It is so addicting! My girlfriend got the game as a gift for her birthday and I stayed up all night playing. I don't know what it is about the game, but it is fun.

I often wish I could play video games and knit at the same time!

Amanda

I was literally casting on stitch 350 out of 363 for Annis (surprise summer Knitty pattern) when you mentioned the cast-on trick. Made me laugh.

Jenny Malchow

Thank you so much for the long tail cast on trick! Life changing!
I met you guys at stitches. You were so nice and I was as lame as can be. Sigh. I'm going to try to play it cool next year when I meet all of my pod casting heros again.

  • Jenny Check
Jenny learned to knit in 2005 and now knits to the exclusion of her personal hygiene. Her husband wonders how long this "knit from your stash" charade will continue.
  • Nicole
Nicole (aka Big Sister) is a librarian who knits. Or maybe a knitter who is a librarian. When she's not knitting on the bus or in front of the TV or at lunch or when chatting with friends, she is, well, that's pretty much it. Knitting.
