Thanks for the New Year podcast! I recently considered making legwarmers after seeing my very cool pilates teacher wearing them. I, however, am not nearly as cool and I fear I will look so weird. Jenny, your outfit with them sounds so cute. Also, on the subject of blankets/throws, I knit two blankets in 2009 and loved them. Here are links:

Hi! 10,000 hours is equal to five years at a full-time job. We used 2000 hours as equivalent to one year: 40hrs/wk x 50 weeks = 2000

It appears that I won't master knitting for another 20 years, anyway...

Hi and Happy New Year. I found your podcast a while ago, listened from the beginning and have just caught up with you. I'm really enjoying listening to your conversations.

A Slanket is much like a Snuggie, only it appeared on the market earlier. Sleeves + Blanket = Slanket. A wonderful winter knitting tool.

I also made several Christmas gifts from the Knitted Amigurumi book you talked about last time. I totally love it, too.

  • Jenny Check
Jenny learned to knit in 2005 and now knits to the exclusion of her personal hygiene. Her husband wonders how long this "knit from your stash" charade will continue.
  • Nicole
Nicole (aka Big Sister) is a librarian who knits. Or maybe a knitter who is a librarian. When she's not knitting on the bus or in front of the TV or at lunch or when chatting with friends, she is, well, that's pretty much it. Knitting.
