I machine wash my Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece tops all the time. I wash them in a lingeree bag in cold water on the delicate cycle.

I also wash them inside out (as I do with ALL cotton garments - minimizes the fading on the exterior of the garment). My tops have been washed this way dozens of times, and still look great.

Thanks for another great podcast. I always enjoy listening to the two of you.

You mentioned that you didn't get taxed for yarn at Purl? In NYC, yarn is not taxed because they consider it clothing. Well, you can use the yarn to make clothing.

Hi Nicole and Jenny, you can see/touch/buy Spud and Chloe at Green Planet Yarn in Campbell. I think you've been there before? It is my LYS and I recently bought some S&C sock yarn (before going to Sock Summit);), it was a sale!
By the way, Sock Summit was fun. Lots of spinning and knitting going on. I love all the sock yarn and it was a very colorful marketplace.
Thanks for the fun podcasts. You are very thoughtful and I always have a little aha when I listen to you chatting. Lu

who are we?

  • Jenny Check
Jenny learned to knit in 2005 and now knits to the exclusion of her personal hygiene. Her husband wonders how long this "knit from your stash" charade will continue.
  • Nicole
Nicole (aka Big Sister) is a librarian who knits. Or maybe a knitter who is a librarian. When she's not knitting on the bus or in front of the TV or at lunch or when chatting with friends, she is, well, that's pretty much it. Knitting.
