Ooh, sweaters. I've turned into a sweater ho all of a sudden, so thank you for all the info/discussion!
I have holiday gifts to be thinking about, but I'm all fired up to do NaKniSweMo, too. I sorta missed the first week of the month so maybe something short-sleeved like Zephrystyle's Green Gable. Or Wicked. Or Sweaterbabe's Lush & Lacy. (Obviously I have some decisions to make.)
For other sweater patterns that could be reasonably completed in a month, what about Carolyn from Knitty? Mine took just a couple of (monogamous) weeks, and I'm by no means a fast knitter. Or maybe shorter cardigans like Marilyn's Not-so-Shrunken Cardigan, Something Red (both by Wendy Bernard), and the Hexacomb cardigan from the Spring 2008 Interweave?

I loved this episode!
I've been knitting for two years, so as a fairly new knitter, I really want to knit some quick sweaters to build up my sweater collection and let my knitting freak flag fly!
It was so helpful that you threw out a bunch of pattern names for us to look up.
Thanks for the great episode and congrats on the wonderful podcast!

J&N-- Great podcast, as always! Thank so much for that fantastic list of sweaters... This is going to be my "Go To" list for the next sweater given that I have failed failed failed to have a good sweater knitting experience as of yet. Something that a normal person can knit in a month might be just the ticket for me to knit (implied: in more than a month). Anyway, congrats on being "Over the Hill..." just please don't go retiring!
Oh and OMG(!) that sweater is INSANE! The coolest, thanks for sharing.
Harold-- Sending some WI love to ya for the Bon Iver! (Ahhhhh one of our own.) Woot woot!
