I'm so glad you're back! I had a bit of a podcast dry spell last week -- no episodes to listen to on my lunch break while I knit! -- so I can't wait to get home this evening and download the new ep!

So great to have you back!!! Thanks for a fun episode. And, Nicole, if you'd be willing to teach a (relative) stranger to sew, I'd love to get in on your lessons! I got very discouraged with sewing after I bought my machine in the fall. After a breather, I'm ready to try again! :) Thanks again for the great episode.

I haven't listened to this podcast yet, but I just wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your archives! A friend told me I should listen and it's been so fun! I keep wanting to comment about things from months ago. (you'd be so confused)I'm about halfway through - you just got back from summer vacation. When I catch up, it'll be so sad to have to wait for each new episode!

Yay for a return to great Tuesday listening! Welcome back ladies!! Thank you SO much for promoting the Gift-a-Long out here on my favorite podcast. The extra bonus is having the 2 of you participating and gifting-a-long this year. Cheering you on to good finishes!

Dudes! SO good to have you back!! Angora, out?? You will have to take home some Sheffield when you're out at Stitches, it's what I made my Gallery Jacket out of. Yes, it's sheddy but a good bath takes care of that and it's so worth it. I just carry a really good lint brush =)
I also love Carezza angora, I have a beret made out of it in my projects...I think I call it the Coy Beret. Cheap and lovely yarn! Up with angora!!

So glad you're back. Over the holidays, I heard the entire song "Dig Me Out" for the first time and was rather disappointed not to hear "This is Nicole, and This is Jenny, and you're listening to Stash and Burn."
Thanks for a great episode. Now I really want to get Knitting New Scarves. Because I did not go on a yarn diet this winter.

I do a little squee! every time you mention me on S&B. Honestly, though, if I weren't paying attention (as I am known to do), I would trust the pattern and keep going, too. I really do think I will get to SF in either Feb or March, so we should definitely plan to get together.

You're back! You're back! It's downloading now, and I'm rubbing my hands together in anticipation...

Welcome back ladies! I truly missed you during the holidays!
You totally cracked me up when you talked about needing a podcast fix during the holidays and you listening to yourself! I love it!

I totally agree with your philosophy about yarn diets. For me, it's all about developing good habits, and I waxed poetic about it on my blog.

I don't think Angora is out. I hope not. Although come to think of it, it seems to be on sale at a lot of places. I hope not.
Pure Angora is expensive. Check the prices on this:

My rabbit isn't an Angora, but judging from the quality of the fur, it probably would shed.It doesn't seem to be very "grabby," and it seems like it's be hard to keep it together by itself.
How could you get tired of scarves? I was just thinking about how much I like them:

I need to start on my resolutions. Thanks for the links. It's almost February and I haven't nailed down my resolutions. In fact, I'm still knitting Christmas gifts for 2007.
I need to stop procrastinating, but I'll worry about that later. ;)

Hi Ladies, so glad to have you back. I just wanted to say I live in Mendocino and it was so nice to hear you say such great things about my favorite LYS! Thanks!

Another GREAT podcast :-)

Hey Nicole(and Jenny too), I know a great way to get rid of some sock yarn: send it to me! I'm saving up(yarn, that is, not money) to knit a sock yarn blanket like the one Shelly Kang(the Heathen Housewife) is working on, and I've got a long way to go.

Welcome back! I am glad that you enjoyed your break over the holidays, because we SnB addicts need you well-rested to continue producing podcasts :)
On your angora question, I bought some 100% angora in December to make the hat trim and pom-pon for a Santa-shaped tree topper I was making (Ravelry link: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/jennylynn/santa-tree-topper). Apparently, pure angora only comes in these teeny (and pricy!) little balls of 10 grams apiece. According to my LYS, most people only use it for "Santa beards" at Christmas (on stockings, I guess). I can confirm that it is extremely delicate, and will come apart very easily. It is also *extremely* sheddy, as though you had a long-hair cat rolling around on your project. I put the remains of the skein I bought in a plastic bag so it doesn't contaminate the rest of the stash.

I've been thinking about making Gretel, too. Just made a cable and rib hat for my mom and came across a cable beret, Gretel, for myself.
