Yayyy, Buffy music! Good choice. Can't wait to listen when I drag my ass out for a run. Maybe this would be a good time to drag out the Buffy DVDs again, too!

Leslie

fun new episode. (i was hoping for a photo of nicole's scarf...) my favorite part of the episode was learning that, like me, you guys watch america's next top model. i think of you as way cooler than me so that made me happy!

Ewww! Medical phobics beware!

Amy

Loved this episode! My family is always saying I'm going to poke my eye out with my needles; maybe I should listen.

Why all the Twinkle hatred? I recently purchased her Big City Knits book and not everything is as bulky. Also, I think bulky yarn can be really attractive in certain pieces. She has gorgeous wraps and oversweaters that make me drool. I'm making her Rockefeller Sweater, and I love it.

I can't imagine how I would feel if someone burned something I knit for them. That would be dreadful. This was definitely a classic Halloween episode. You continue to amaze and delight.

too f*ing cool of an episode-- except i got all !! when the intro music wasn't the same! :)

(btw-- my name is aija and i watch antm, too.)

My m-i-l here in the UK somehow stumbled last year as she was walking in her living room while carrying her knitting, and ended up going to the ER with the needle imbedded an inch or so into her foot. Strange but true. (she was fine).

Sarah

Now I'm really glad that the worst knitting-related injury I've ever sustained is when I poked a small hole in my index finger with a Knit Picks needle.

Jennifer

Great episode - very scary yet funny! Poor Sara -- it is my learned medical opinion** that she suffered an impaling, not a stabbing, OMG!

**DISCLAIMER: this woman has no medical training whatsoever.

Deborah

Arrgh! I wasn't going to click on the mohair suit link - sounded too weird! But I ended up there anyway because the knee pad link led to the furry people anyway. Ew.

No picture of Nicole's green and purple monstrosity?

Jadielady

I just wanted to say that I absolutely love your show! I've posted about it and how you've inspired me to get my stash organized on my blog, http://jadieladythoughts.blogspot.com/
Also, an idea for stash burning. Knifty knitters knit very fast. If you have any yarn you're not 100% in love with, you can make very nice stocking caps in just a few hours. We make them at work and donate them to a local women's shelter.

Sasha

Hey gals! Thanks for another stellar episode! Thoroughly enjoyed the Tales of Knitting Horror, and ESPECIALLY the Buffster music! You had me singing along in the middle bit "I touched the fire and it freeeezes me" *spike in background" "I diiiied" hehe! Such fun, thanks a bunch! =D

Great show! I loved the Buffy music as the intro and gasped with horror at Sara's tale. It reminded me of another blogger who did something similar, but with a bamboo dpn. I looked for the post but couldn't find it. I could have sworn it was at Moth Heaven.

Great show and keep up the good work. I squeal like a little girl everything I see a new episode through Bloglines.

OMG! That knitting needle story made me go weak in the knees. EWWW! Who would have thought that knitting could be so, well, dangerous?! Great blog, thanks for the podcast.

Nicole's scarf isn't that bad. It would help to see it straightened out or being worn. Everything looks bad in a vague pile like that.

I'm actually relieved to see the full body mohair is a fetish thing. I think I saw this on eBay. It explains a lot.

I'm kind of sad I missed the poncho craze. I would have loved the excuse to make one (I still might.)

The big-ass knits need to be in small doses. It's not practical enough for the amount of work that goes into it, I think. The twinkle yarn is gorgeous and soft, (they have some at one of my LYS's) but I can't imagine wearing something made out of it. (Especially in Texas.)

Oh my God, the scarf! When she said burn it, I was expecting the reason was fleas or bedbugs or something semi-dangerous. (You remember the Velveteen Rabbit, where they have to burn the rabbit because of the germs.)

Did Sara wash the needles before using them? She needs to watch out for splinters with the Harmonies.

PS - I laughed out loud when the Aardvarks appeared on the screen on Ants on a Aardvark. Awesome!

Loved the Buffy music!
